welcome to the personal portfolio of Dimitri Georgakas
DIGITAL DESIGNER/GURU
That’s right
this is not me by the way
it’s all the stages my clients go through, sometimes
Who likes alignment, am I right?
Am I right?
No? Just me? Ok 🙁
My linked worked!
If you came here by scrolling though then…this is awkward.
Good, you’re still here. This is my personal portfolio, see if there’s anything you like. If there is, please drop me a line, I’d be happy to hear about exciting new ideas and projects! It’s not everything I’ve done in the last 11+ years, but you’ll get an idea. I’ve inluded a few selected recent projects, if you need to see anything specific, please let me know and I’m sure it will be something I wil have done in the past*.
PS. Some of the website designs might be a bit different than the actual website, if you happen to go on them. I blame the developers and deadlines.
* If not, I will use my more than a decade experience and mock something up quickly and present it like I’ve done it for some client. If you think no one does that, then… I've got news.
What I can help you with
Usual stuff you’d expect a designer to do. I actually started as a print designer, since 2007 (actually since 2004, but I was pretty c**p, I mean useless, back then) making magazines, newspapers, brochures…all the lovely things you can get your hands on. Because let’s face it, websites and all are cool but you can’t actually feel them or touch them. This is what makes print works unique. You see the end result right in front of you, feeling all proud. I’m moving away from the point, but I thought I’d give you some wisdom.
Apart from that, I can help you with everything a website development involves; the initial user journey, prototypes, mockups, graphics, promotional videos and so on and so on. Email campaigns is another thing, as much I don’t like them because they never work 100% like you want them (are you listening, Outlook?). I’ve also worked on motion design and video animation, that is something I’d really like to learn how to do better. Let’s see, what else? Hm……..that’s too many dots…that’s better.
Branding? Did I mention branding? Seems like designers can do everything these days.
What I will help you with
This is me being serious now. Seriously, you need to go out more. Work and all is good, helps pay the bills, but it’s just means to an end. As long as it allows you to live life the way you want to, it’s all good. No need for more. Think about that next time you do some (unpaid) overtime or stay up late at home working. Your life is not your job.
Now go out there and smell a daisy.*
*That is the flower daisy, not Daisy your neighbour, you pervert.
